The previous fitters did quite a bad job, thus the customer wanted to redo the bathroom properly. Although this was just a partial refurbishment, it took almost as much work and time as to refurbish it in full - just some tiles were left in place, all the appliances were changed and bathroom retiled.
Funny thing was to see that most tiles were fixed on walls using silicone sealant - not proper tiles adhesive. Therefore, many tiles were about to fall down. Just when this bathroom was refurbished the first time, customer decided to buy more tiles for the future - they kept them stored to be used in future for proper refurbishment. The only thing was that these extra tiles were from a different batch - size was slightly different. The solution was to use border tiles to separate new from old tiles - and it worked well: nobody can tell that this was only partial refurbishment.
