Wooden doors had a good run. Durable, strong and available in a range of styles, wooden doors really did a sterling job. But, on the other hand, they did require a fair bit of maintenance, whether that was varnishing, repainting, sanding or cleaning; wooden doors took a solid amount of TLC to keep them looking good.
